“I’m very pleased to honour the more than 4,000 kinship and foster caregivers across the province. We are proud to partner with these kind and devoted caregivers who step up to support children and youth and provide safe and loving homes. Thank you for all you do.

“We are thankful to kinship and foster caregivers who step up to give a sense of stability and belonging to young people and who go above and beyond to keep children and youth as connected to culture and community as possible. Foster and kinship caregivers provide this care while also supporting every child’s physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

“We are always looking for more kinship and foster caregivers to open their homes to kids in need. Individuals, couples and families can become caregivers. We offer pre-service training to help you decide if caregiving is right for you, and if it is, we offer additional training and supports to you in your caregiving journey.”
