Grande Prairie MLA Tracy Allard, Banff-Kananaskis MLA Miranda Rosin and Calgary-Fish Creek MLA Richard Gotfried will travel to Richland, Wash., Aug. 4-10 to participate in a four-day panel with other legislators from across North America as part of the Legislative Energy Horizon Institute (LEHI).

The LEHI is a unique opportunity that brings together elected representatives from across North America to learn about the energy infrastructure and systems that power everyday life in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Since 2009, thousands of legislators have attended LEHI to build a stronger understanding of the energy connections across jurisdictions and how legal and regulatory changes can affect energy use and development.

All three MLAs will be travelling alone. Mission expenses will be posted on the travel and expense disclosure page.

Alberta’s government is committed to working with its national and international partners to advance shared interests that can lead to new opportunities for people and businesses in Alberta and around the world.
