Drivers are advised to be aware of this event and use caution when passing the walkers.
RCMP will follow the walkers in a marked vehicle with lights flashing to ensure their safety. All lanes will be open, and the walkers and RCMP escort vehicle will travel along the shoulder.
Travellers can expect delays and are reminded to slow to 60 km/hr when passing emergency vehicles.
