Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. County of Barrhead has UPDATED a wildfire alert.
Emergency management staff are on scene at Thunder Lake this morning to assess damage & ensure site safety before coordinating a safe return for residents.
Area: This alert is in effect for the Thunder Lake Subdivision.

- Barrhead County No. 11
Action to take:
- Evacuation order is still in place for Thunder Lake subdivision
- Thunder Lake evacuees are not allowed to return home at this time
- County of Barrhead will advise affected residents when they can return
- Further updates will be provided approximately 10:00 AM on May 29, 2026
