Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Cypress County has issued a water supply alert and boil water order for the hamlet of Walsh.

A water main break at a water plant in Walsh resulted in a disruption in water supply for customers in the area. Service is restored to all but four customers. This disruption is expected to last at least 72 hours. All customers in Walsh are under a boil water order. This will be the final update.

Area: This alert is for the hamlet of Walsh and surrounding area.

• Cypress County

Action to take:

• Crews will deliver bottled water to the fire hall in Walsh at 318 3 Ave
• Those with service, run your water taps to flush the system
• There may be air trapped in some lines so you may notice some spurting
• Customers are advised to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, brushing teeth, washing raw foods, and making ice
