Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. 511 Alberta has updated the hazardous road conditions alert to apply to a larger area.
Severe winter weather conditions in south central Alberta are making safe travel impossible. Area highways and roads may be closed without notice, and emergency service may not be available in some areas.
Area: This alert is in effect for areas north and east of Calgary, as far north as Olds and as far east as Youngstown (see attached map).

- Do not travel until conditions improve
- If you are already driving, get off the roads as soon as you can safely do so
- If you are stranded stay with your vehicle and wait for assistance
