Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The County of Grande Prairie has downgraded its evacuation order and alert.

The fire is still out of control.

Area: This alert is in effect for the area of the County near the AB/BC border.

Affected areas (2):

  • Saddle Hills County
  • Grande Prairie County No. 1

Action to take:

  • Everyone north of TWP Road 700 to 710 can return home
  • Everyone north of TWP Road 740 to Hwy 43, west of the BC/AB border to Range Road 130 can return home
  • These areas remain on evacuation alert
  • The evacuation alert remains in effect for everyone north of TWP Road 710 to 740, east of Range Road 130 to 124
  • The evacuation alert is outlined in the yellow area of the attached map
  • Residents in areas under an evacuation alert should be prepared to leave with 30 minutes’ notice
  • The evacuation order remains in effect for everyone north of TWP Road 710 to 740, east of the BC/AB border to Range Road 130
  • The evacuation order is outlined in the red area of the attached map
