Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The Kee Tas Kee Now Tribal Council has issued a mandatory evacuation order due to wildfire.

There is an out of control fire 10 kms south of the community that has become a danger for Loon Lake. Loon River First Nation has issued a mandatory evacuation order.

Area: This alert is in effect for everyone in the community of Loon Lake.

Affected areas (1):

• Loon Lake 235

Action to take:

• All residents of Loon Lake must evacuate immediately
• Gather all important documents, medications and clothes to last at least 3 days
• The first checkpoint is the Legacy Center in Slave Lake, 400 6th Ave NE
• Busses are available for those without transportation, please call 780-649-5917
• Busses will be located at Clarence Jaycox School
• Those needing fuel can go to the Loon River Truck stop
