Description: Information for residents in Keg River area regarding fires.
There are fires burning in the Keg River area. The County of Northern Lights is in daily contact with Alberta Forestry and the Incident Command team. A 24-hour Evacuation notice boundary has been established north of the fire and In the event the fire reaches that line, the County of Northern Lights will advise residents to prepare for possible evacuation. In the event the situation worsens, the County will attempt to contact residents directly to advise of any requirement for evacuation. This is to update residents only and is not an evacuation notice or alert.
