Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The Town of Whitecourt is issuing a High Water Level Alert.
A flood watch has been issued for the McLeod and Athabasca Rivers in Whitecourt. River levels are anticipated to peak by the morning of June 21, 2023 with localized flooding in areas of Whitecourt. Festival Park and accompanying trails, Riverside Trail, Riverboat Park and the Whitecourt Golf and Country Club are closed to the public until further notice. 47 Street north of Flats Road is closed. The mandatory evacuation orders for Sagitawah RV Park and Westview Mobile Village remain in effect.
