Area: This alert is in effect for everyone in Beaver Lake Cree Nation.
Description: There is a wildfire southeast of the community of Beaver Lake. Residents on Elinor Lake Road, Victoria Trail, Small Face Drive and Lameman Drive have begun evacuating. If conditions do not improve, an evacuation of everyone in Beaver Lake might be required.
Instruction: Everyone else in Beaver Lake Cree Nation must prepare for a possible evacuation. Gather important documents and medication and enough food, water and supplies for 3 days. No evacuation is required at this time, unless authorities tell you to leave. Go to the Multi-purpose Hall, across from the Band Office to register. If you need help evacuating, call 780-404-6432. For updates, stay tuned to www.alberta.ca/emergencyalert and local media.
