Description: Alberta Emergency Alert - High Water Level Alert

The Pembina and Paddles Rivers are experiencing high water levels due to spring melt and significant precipitation. As a result, several County roads have been closed and overland flooding is occurring in certain areas. With the forecasted precipitation, rivers are expected to continue to rise. Residents are asked to exercise extreme caution around any water body.

Action to take:

  • High water levels are causing unsafe conditions along rivers and streams
  • Be aware of areas known to easily flood such as streams and drainage channels
  • Avoid rivers, valleys, and low-lying areas
  • Respect signage and barricades
  • Visit the County of Barrhead website for further information and updates.
