History:

Description: Alberta Emergency Alert - High Stream Flow Advisory

The Bear Creek Reservoir is discharging water at its maximum capacity resulting in high levels in the creek and on the Muskoseepi trail system.

Some sections of the Muskoseepi trail system will be under water. Water flow will be high and unpredictable. There will be rapid currents in the Bear Creek and the area should be avoided. Due to rapid snow melt, water levels can change dramatically and impact trails.

Action to take:

  • Avoid Bear Creek and low lying areas
  • Pedestrians are advised not to use the Muskoseepi trail system for the next 48 hours due to unpredictable and increasing water levels.
