Description: Telus has informed The City of Red Deer of an outage that is impacting the ability of TELUS MOBILE CUSTOMERS to contact 9-1-1. If you require emergency assistance from police, fire, or ambulance, use a landline or head to your nearest emergency services station, fire station, or RCMP detachment

Telus has informed The City of Red Deer of an outage that is impacting the ability of TELUS MOBILE CUSTOMERS to contact 9-1-1. This outage is impacting TELUS MOBILITY CUSTOMERS across the province. These customers will not be able to dial 9-1-1 form anywhere in Alberta at this time. If you require emergency assistance from police, fire, or ambulance, use a landline or head to your nearest emergency services station, fire station, or RCMP detachment. This outage DOES NOT impact landlines. Landlines can still be used to call 9-1-1 in an emergency. This outage is only impacting TELUS MOBILITY customers. It does not impact other providers. Telus is working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
