Telus has informed The City of Red Deer of an outage that is impacting the ability of TELUS MOBILE CUSTOMERS to contact 9-1-1. This outage is impacting TELUS MOBILITY CUSTOMERS across the province. These customers will not be able to dial 9-1-1 form anywhere in Alberta at this time. If you require emergency assistance from police, fire, or ambulance, use a landline or head to your nearest emergency services station, fire station, or RCMP detachment. This outage DOES NOT impact landlines. Landlines can still be used to call 9-1-1 in an emergency. This outage is only impacting TELUS MOBILITY customers. It does not impact other providers. Telus is working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
