Alberta Emergency Alert - Wildfire Alert In Cypress County West Of Irvine

Description: There is a wildfire north of Highway 1, and west of the hamlet of Irvine.

The wildfire is burning on the north side of Highway 1 and approximately 5 kilometres west of the hamlet of Irvine. The fire is presently burning in a westerly direction. Cypress County Emergency and Fire Services are presently on scene. As a result of smoke and high wind velocities, visibility in this area is reduced. Visibility along Highway 1 may be poor as a result. Go to www.511.alberta.ca for up to date Road Report information.

Instruction: Visibility will be affected. Traffic and the public are advised to avoid the area. Take all necessary precautions. Prepare for possible evacuation. Follow the directions of local authorities.
