Description: Alberta Emergency Alert - Wildfire Alert Updated

The wildfire 14 km southeast of the Trout Lake Community is still out of control but remains a distance from the community. The public should continue to monitor information regarding this wildfire for their safety. There is heavy smoke from this wildfire in the area and this will cause issues regarding driving visibility, and concerns for people with breathing issues.

The Trout Lake Community is the most southern area of the Peerless Trout First Nation area and these communities are on the south shores of Peerless Lake. Peerless Trout First Nation website is www.ptfn.net and https://www.facebook.com/peerlesstroutfirstnation/ is the Facebook page for this community. Action to take:

  • The Wildfire continues to burn southeast of the Trout Lake Community and the public must continue to monitor this fire and be prepared to follow all directions of local authorities
  • There is heavy smoke in certain areas and this will affect visibility and is a concern for persons with breathing issues
