Water may be unsafe to drink or use within the Hamlet of Burdett.

Update October 4 4:55PM Samples have been submitted to Alberta Health Services for their review. We are awaiting results of the test. Please follow the Boil Water Advisory instructions listed below. Visit http://www.albertahealthservices.ca/assets/wf/eph/wf-eph-boil-water-advisory-water-home-safety.pdf for more information. ********** Update Oct 3 1:30PM Power outages caused by the recent winter storm caused a temporary loss in pressure to the Burdett water distribution system. Crews are flushing the Hamlet's main lines and will be submitting water samples to Alberta Health for testing. Occasionally further flushing and samples are required after testing. Once the samples have been confirmed to be healthy the Boil Water Advisory will be lifted. ********** The Hamlet of Burdett is experiencing water quality issues due to the intense winter storm in the area. Crews are actively working to resolve this issue.

  • It is recommended that Hamlet of Burdett water users boil their water, bringing it to a rapid rolling boil for 1 minute and letting it cool prior to drinking, brushing teeth, or otherwise preparing food with it
