Description: Alberta Emergency Alert - Hazardous Materials Alert

There is a natural gas release in Yellowhead County at the Pinedale Transfer Site located one mile north of Township Road 534.

There has been a rupture of a two-inch gas line at the Pinedale Transfer Site. All nearby residents are asked to shelter in place. RCMP will be going door to door to assist residents and give further instructions. Please contact the school division regarding any diversion to regular school bus routes.

Action to take:

• Move indoors and stay indoors
• Close doors, windows, and vents
• Please ensure furnaces are off so external air is not pulled inside dwellings
• Seek medical attention or contact Alberta Healthlink if you experience breathing difficulties
• Avoid the area
• Follow the directions of local authorities.
