Description: Alberta Emergency Alert - Closure of Forest Protection Areas Alert Updated
September 6 Update, Forest Control Zones 1, 2 & 3 remain closed to public entry for the area south of Highway 532 to the U.S. border and west to the BC border. No public access is allowed within the Forest Protection Areas, however Highway 22 & 3 remain open for through traffic. Visit www.511.alberta.ca for current highway conditions and road closure information.
Limited access may be granted by permits that can be obtained at the following locations: - Calgary Fire Centre - 8660 Bearspaw Dam Rd. NW, Calgary, - Chain Lakes Provincial Park Administrative Building - Twp. Rd. 144A, Highway 22, Longview, - Blairmore Ranger Station - 11901 19 Ave., Blairmore, - Alberta Environment and Parks Office - 101 782 Main Street, Pincher Creek.

- Follow the directions of authorities and listen to local media for further information
- The public must not enter Fire Zones 1, 2 & 3 as they are unsafe
