Description: Alberta Emergency Alert: Alert for a Possible Tornado

At 5:02 PM, a rotating severe thunderstorm that is capable of producing a tornado is located near Drayton Valley and is moving east at 30 km/h. Communities in the path include: Drayton Valley and Lindale

Area: Brazeau County

Affected areas (3):

  • Breton
  • Drayton Valley
  • Brazeau County

Action to take:

  • Seek shelter immediately in a basement or reinforced structure
  • Get low and put as many walls between yourself and the storm as possible
  • Stay away from windows, doors and outside walls
  • If you are on the highway and cannot avoid the tornado, seek shelter in a ditch or ravine
