There are several rail line closures in Edson and area which may cause a disruption of transportation services.

There are currently three trains covering a distance of 10 miles that is blocking several rail crossings.They are 63 Street that goes to the Edson Landfill; Range Road 180 at the Ansel Tower Road South of Highway 16 and extends to Range Road 194 South of Highway 16. There may be potential rail closures along Highway 47. CN is working to have the rail lines open and may be open within forty-five minutes.
