At approximately 5:15 PM, a severe thunderstorm has developed in the Ponoka area. This storm may produce heavy rain, large hail, and severe winds that could develop into a tornado over the next hour in the Village of Alix area.

Action to take:

• Be prepared to seek shelter off the road if you are on the highway and cannot avoid the storm
• Seek shelter in a ditch or ravine if a tornado approaches
• Seek shelter in a basement or reinforced structure
• Close doors and windows
• Put as many walls between yourself and the storm as possible.
