Description: Alberta Emergency Alert - Water Quality Alert Updated

This is an update as of 1400 hours Tuesday, January 26. Boil water order has been lifted for the majority of the Village. The Carmangay Outreach School and residents who live on Whyte Street and the acreages at the south end of Alberta Avenue are still under a boil water order due to a new leak and water shut off.

A water leak on Alberta Avenue, beside the baseball diamond, has occurred. The line was isolated, but residents living on the line will continue to be under boil water orders. This includes the Carmangay Outreach School, residents on Whyte Street and the acreages at the south end of Alberta Avenue.

Action to take:

  • Boil water - bring water to a rapid rolling boil for one minute prior to use or drink bottled water only
  • Follow the directions of local authorities.
