“Open Farm Days is the perfect opportunity for Albertans to enjoy a staycation in the country, enjoying the beauty and bounty of rural Alberta. From farm tours for the family and farm-fresh feasts at one-of-kind culinary events for the foodie in all of us, there is something for everyone. With more than 100 host sites across Alberta, now is the time to start planning your Open Farm Days rural road trip.”

Ricardo Miranda, Minister of Culture and Tourism

“Alberta has a well-earned reputation for quality, thanks to the hard work and commitment to excellence of the more than 89,000 people who work in the agriculture and agri-food industry. Open Farm Days is a great opportunity for Albertans to show their support for Alberta producers, while learning more about how their food is grown and why our province’s agriculture businesses are thriving.”

Oneil Carlier, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry

“Agriculture plays a vital role in the well-being of our rural communities and our province. Ag for Life is proud to join the Government of Alberta in support of Open Farm Days as a way to create awareness and appreciation of agriculture as an important contributor to our economy and our Alberta way of life.”

Luree Williamson, CEO, Agriculture for Life

On Saturday and Sunday, August 20 and 21, top Alberta chefs using locally grown products will be featured at unique culinary experiences being held across the province. There is a range of costs to participate in the culinary events.
