This release was issued under a previous government.
Construction on Highway 2, south of Fairview and north of the Dunvegan Bridge will begin today and continue until July 31, 2016 to repair approximately 0.1 km of the highway that crumbled in May 2015. This work is necessary to stabilize the highway embankment and construct a pile wall.
Drivers are advised to expect delays in this area as speed reductions implemented in May will continue during construction.
