When his son (Rémi Laurent) announces his marriage to the daughter (Luisa Maneri) of a conservative politician (Michel Galaru), a gay nightclub owner (Ugo Tognazzi) pretends to be a diplomat while his partner (Michel Serrault) pretends to be his wife.
