Legislated reporting requirements
Section 602.34 of the Municipal Government Act requires that each Regional Services Commission (RSC) prepare an annual financial statement and a financial information return.
These reports, including the auditor's reports and the Excel template for download, should be submitted electronically to email@example.com by May 1, of each year.

Annual financial statements
Sample financial statements are available as a reference in the preparation of the 2019 annual audited statements for a commission.

A signed and dated copy of the annual audited financial statements, including the auditor's report, should be scanned and submitted using the secured link for your regional services commission.
Audited financial statements should be submitted with the financial information return, using the instructions found in the Financial Information Return section below.
Financial Information Return
The 2019 Financial Information Return (FIR) template and the accompanying manual are now available. The 2019 FIR template and the unique submission link were emailed to all chief administrative officers on January 15, 2020. The template requires Microsoft Excel 2007, or newer, to complete.
A signed and dated copy of the FIR, including the auditor's report, should be submitted using the secured link for your RSC.
If the email for the 2019 FIR template and your RSC's unique submission link was lost, email firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain the template and the submission link.
