Food and fun: Premier’s K-Days Pancake Breakfast

Albertans are invited to the Premier’s annual K-Days Pancake Breakfast on Thursday, July 19, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on the south grounds of the Alberta legislature.

Deputy Premier Sarah Hoffman will host this year’s event while Premier Notley attends the premiers’ Council of the Federation meeting in New Brunswick.

Bring an appetite! MLAs will serve up free pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausages. Gluten-free options will also be available.

Featured Edmonton-based entertainers this year are folksinger Celeigh Cardinal, nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award for Indigenous Artist of the Year, and Our Good Wolf, a five-piece indie-alternative band.

To make getting to the breakfast easier, there is free LRT service from Churchill Station to Grandin Station starting at 6:30 a.m. There is also free shuttle bus service from Corona Station (107 Street and Jasper Avenue) to the south legislature grounds from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
