Across the province, dedicated volunteers complete tax returns, teach computer skills and make hearty breakfasts for hundreds – helping seniors in countless ways. The Minister’s Seniors Service Awards recognize these exceptional volunteers for helping brighten the lives of seniors.

Last year, the awards included the inaugural Alice Modin Award for long-term community service. More than 30 years ago, Modin helped pave the way for a provincewide Seniors’ Week.

“Volunteer work enriches the lives of seniors and their communities. These awards are an opportunity for us to thank those who commit their time and talents to serve seniors.”

Lori Sigurdson, Minister of Seniors and Housing
