Olympics in PyeongChang: Premier Notley

Premier Rachel Notley has issued the following statement following the conclusion of the Olympic Games in PyeongChang:

“Albertans, Canadians and people around the world have sat on the edge of their seats as they watched Canada’s best and brightest athletes perform amazing feats at the PyeongChang Olympics over the past 16 days. We have all experienced a range of emotions right alongside our athletes and shared in the excitement of the games.

“These Olympics have been incredibly memorable for Canadians, and our province played a big part in that. The athletes who live and train in Alberta have helped Canada bring home 29 medals and have demonstrated our shared commitment to hard work, determination and competitiveness.

“To all of Alberta’s Olympic athletes, I offer my sincere thanks and congratulations on behalf of everyone in our province. We are all incredibly proud of the part each of you has played in further showcasing Alberta’s and Canada’s legacy of athletic success. Thank you for being amazing representatives of our province and country on the international stage.”
