Work will take about three weeks to complete. Drivers are advised to expect delays, take alternate routes when possible and be prepared for the following:
Bridges over the North Saskatchewan River
- Northbound and southbound traffic between 153 Avenue and Aurum Road will be affected
- Two southbound and two northbound lanes will alternate closures over a two-week period
- The southbound bridge will be completed first, followed by the northbound bridge
Anthony Henday Drive/Yellowhead Trail Interchange
- This bridge is approximately 100 metres west of the junction at the Henday and Yellowhead
- Southbound traffic on the Henday using the westbound Yellowhead ramp will be affected
- The work will require alternating closures of one lane and the shoulders on the bridge
- This work will be completed in about one week
Additional information
- Work will be completed in stages to ensure that some lanes of traffic remain open at all times
- Lane closures and speed reductions to 50 kilometres per hour will be in effect
- Crews will work day and night to complete work
- Drivers are reminded to watch for signs and workers
- Speeding fines double in construction zones when workers are present
