“The new Aeromexico direct flight from Mexico City to Calgary is estimated to create more than 300 jobs and generate $46 million in economic output for the province. This new, direct route is a result of our efforts to make tourism a key component in strengthening and diversifying Alberta’s economy and creating jobs.
“With our other direct international flights from priority markets including China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan and the Netherlands, we are putting Alberta on the map as a world-class tourism destination and a great place to invest.
“I am very proud of the work that has been done by all parties involved that culminated in my visit to Mexico City last week and this announcement today.
