Joe Ceci, President of Treasury Board, Minister of Finance

“Mr. Magidson is exceptionally well qualified for the job, bringing 35 years of experience in securities, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and governance law to the ASC. I am confident he will serve the ASC and Albertans with distinction.”

Richard Shaw, ASC member, Lead Independent Member and Chair of ASC’s Governance Committee

“I am honoured to be appointed Chair and CEO of the ASC. Having previously served as Chair of the Advisory Committee, I am keenly aware of the challenges and opportunities in Alberta's unique capital market system and look forward to working with the commission, the staff team and our colleagues in the Canadian Securities Administrators to ensure Alberta and Canada's capital markets are best of class."
