“I am pleased to welcome Farouk Adatia as my new Chief of Staff,” said Redford. “As a lawyer specializing in corporate and commercial law and as a volunteer leader with deep ties to the community, Farouk’s experience and values are reflective of a new government focused on building an even better Alberta.”
Adatia is a partner at Bennett Jones LLP, practicing in corporate and commercial law for over 15 years. He has also been very active in the community volunteering for organizations like the United Way of Calgary and Area and the Kitchen Cabinet of Calgary Meals on Wheels.
Adatia replaces Stephen Carter who served as Chief of Staff for the past six months.
“Stephen served as my Chief of Staff when I first became Premier until March,” said Redford. “I have the greatest respect for Stephen, and I thank him for his tireless work to establish our administration and for his contributions to our early successes.”
