Temporary public land recreation area closures

Waskahigan Public Land Recreation Area access and trail

Effective September 17, 2020 until further notice there is a temporary closure of the Waskahigan public land recreation area access and trail located off Highway 63 near the House River (15-34-77-15-W4M) due to facilities repair and materials disposal.

Temporary trail closures

Kananaskis Public Land Use Zone (Moose Mountain)

Effective October 8, 2020, a Temporary Trail Closure has been issued in the Kananaskis Public Land Use Zone, for “Trail With The Sweet Jumps- Upper and Lower Sections”.  The trail is temporarily closed to complete construction and maintenance work.

Pursuant to Section 184 (1) of the Public Lands Administration Regulation AR 187/2011, public access to “Trail With The Sweet Jumps- Upper and Lower Sections” is not permitted. For additional details, see the attached map.

Livingston Public Land Use Zone - Isolation Creek Trail

Effective August 10 to 31, 2020 sections of Isolation Creek Trail are temporarily closed for trail improvement construction. The trail closure is between trail markers 315 to 318.
