Alberta companies are invited to participate in a mission to SIAL Canada from April 14 to 18, 2020. Companies will be able to display their promotional materials and samples to engage directly with buyers from the U.S. and other international markets in the retail, foodservice and food processing sectors.
Alberta companies will exhibit in shared booth space within the Western Canadian Pavilion at the tradeshow. One-on-one buyer meetings will be arranged.
Draft itinerary (subject to change):
- Tuesday, April 14 - depart Alberta, set up booth space
- Wednesday, April 15 to Friday, April 17 - exhibit at SIAL Canada
- Saturday, April 18 - depart Quebec
SIAL Canada is the nation’s only food show dedicated to the retail and food service trade and is one of North America’s most important agri-food sector tradeshows. SIAL Canada is the only event of its scale in the country, with more than 1,000 national and international exhibitors from 50 countries hosting over 18,500 buyers from Canada, the U.S. and 60 other countries.
SIAL Canada provides an excellent opportunity for Alberta companies to continue their exposure amongst North American and international buyers. Companies will also be able to participate in events and conferences to discover the latest trends and issues in the sector.
To be eligible to participate in this mission, companies should be export ready. Companies are responsible for paying all their own travel expenses and product shipping costs.
Please note that all exhibiting companies require commercial general liability insurance that includes products and completed operations for a minimum of $2 million.
Companies interested in funding support for this activity may be eligible for partial recovery of travel expenses through the Canadian Agricultural Partnership Program under Products to Market – Stream B.
Space is limited. Application deadline is February 21, 2020, and applications will be assessed on a first come, first serve basis.
