Palliative and end-of-life care engagement

Albertans shared their feedback on our palliative and end-of-life care system. A final report was released on November 18, 2021.

Overview

In September 2020, we invested $20 million over 4 years for palliative and end-of-life care initiatives.

Dan Williams, MLA for Peace River, was appointed to lead a focused engagement with palliative and end-of-life citizens and interest groups in Alberta.

During the engagement, we gathered feedback and insights into Alberta’s palliative and end-of-life care system, and recommendations on how the government should allocate funding.

Review findings in the Advancing Palliative and End-of-Life Care in Alberta final report.
