Online training for victim services providers

Service providers can take online training to provide better support for victims of crime.

Courses and benefits

The Alberta Victims Services AVS 100 e-Learning program offers 35 courses on issues that include:

  • advocate self-care
  • impact of trauma
  • court orientation
  • domestic violence

Compared to classroom training, e-Learning:

  • reduces training costs
  • improves access for those in rural and remote communities and remote areas
  • delivers consistent advocate training quickly and efficiently

Eligibility

You can use this e-Learning program if you’re a victim services:

  • advocate or staff member (includes police services and community-funded programs)
  • stakeholder
  • board member
  • police liaison
