The Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Council (OHSAC) provides specialized advice to government on workplace health and safety matters to better protect working Albertans.
Former Occupational Health and Safety Council
Note: on December 15, 2017, the former Occupational Health and Safety Council (OHSC) was dissolved and the appointments of members of the council ended.
Appeals
The Alberta Labour Relations Board hears appeals of orders issued by Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
- Proceedings and decisions from past OHS appeals.
Compensation disclosure
Public sector bodies are required to post online the names and compensation paid to:
- all council members
- employees who earn over a threshold amount (see Public sector body compensation disclosure)
This is a requirement under the Public Sector Compensation Transparency Act. The postings are required by June 30 each year and will be maintained for 5 years.
