Early Childhood Services This section has been updated to provide clarity and align language with the Funding Manual for School Authorities (PDF, 2.1 MB) regarding Early Childhood Services (ECS) Program Unit Funding, required ECS programming hours, and definitions regarding Teacher-Directed instruction.
External Learning Opportunities A new section has been created to communicate the process to award high school credits for external learning opportunities that students take outside of school.

Print-based Distance Education Programs This section has been updated to remove reference to the Alberta Distance Learning Centre (ADLC) which ceases operations on August 31, 2021.
Evaluation of Out-of-province/Out of country Educational Documents High School Coursework Completed Outside Alberta Update to the Evaluation of Out-of-province/Out-of-country Educational Documents section and removal of the High School Coursework Completed Outside Alberta section to reflect how principals evaluate out-of-province courses.
Resources and Services A new section has been added detailing Office of Student Attendance and Re-engagement (OSAR) to increase awareness of the leadership and support available to school authorities to promote student attendance and re-engagement in learning and address chronic absenteeism.
Resources and Services A new section has been added detailing the Provincial Low Incidence Support Services Unit to increase awareness of the valuable supports available to school authorities for meeting the needs of students from low incidence populations.
Prevention of Abuse, Bullying, Harassment and Discrimination in Schools This section has been updated to add information on the Respect in the Workplace training that is available to all staff in public, separate, charter, francophone and private school authorities as well First Nation education authorities.
