Data reporting for the weeks of May 16-22, and May 23-29 2023, is delayed because of systems issues. We are working to resume reporting as soon as possible.
As of May 15:
- 10,062,690 doses administered
- 91.1% of Albertans 12+ with at least 1 dose
- 87.7% of Albertans 12+ with at least 2 doses
- 2,870 adverse events following immunization (learn about vaccine safety)

On September 21, 2022, Alberta launched the COVID-19 bivalent booster program. Bivalent booster doses are available for all Albertans 5 years and older.
All approved vaccines are safe, effective and continue to play a role in preventing COVID-19 infection and limiting its spread. More importantly, these vaccines help prevent serious illness from COVID-19 infection. You're encouraged to review current evidence to make an informed decision about your health.
