Travel outside Alberta or Canada
Travel within Canada
- While all provinces and territories have removed the requirement to provide proof of immunization, some businesses may still require you to provide proof of immunization before entering their establishment(s). Your updated Alberta-issued vaccine record with QR code is considered valid proof of vaccination for these purposes.
International travel requirements
- Foreign countries may require Canadian travellers to provide proof of vaccination to visit. Check the requirements of individual countries, state/local governments, cruise lines and events before travelling abroad.
- Alberta's vaccine record has been updated to meet the Canadian standard for domestic and international travel.
- Get your vaccine record from alberta.ca/CovidRecords before travelling.
- Your proof does not guarantee entry to another country.
- Provinces retain the vaccination records of their respective residents. Your data will not be shared with the federal or other provincial governments.
-
Update record in another province or country
- If you were vaccinated in Alberta but are from another province or country, you can send them your Alberta immunization record(s) to update their vaccination system.
