Our responsibilities

Communications and Public Engagement (CPE) is the Government of Alberta's full-service communications, public relations and marketing department. Its mandate is to enhance communications between Albertans and the Government of Alberta.

Led by the Managing Director, CPE staffs the external communications functions in its operations branch and all departments of government - this includes over 20 supporting departmental communications units.

CPE includes the following divisions:

  • Communications – Social
