Participants receive a detailed financial analysis of each farming enterprise whether it be cow/calf, cereal or oilseeds including production costs and returns on a per unit of output basis such as per bushel, per tonne or per pound weaned:
- as applicable, benchmark reports comparable by region, soil zone, size and type of operation
Also available are details of production costs and returns on a per unit of investment basis such as per acre or per animal.
- long-term participants receive their own benchmark report to assess the performance of their farm business and enterprises over time
Information that participants share with the program is used in applied economic research to address topical issues and questions from Alberta producers. Only aggregated, non-identifying information will be published and made available to the general public and organizations for research purposes.
The collection is authorized under section 33(c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act and managed and protected in accordance with the Act.
