The Farmers’ Advocate Office (FAO) offers a $1,000 grant to a local rural crime watch association for an innovative project that helps prevent and mitigate crime in rural communities. Rural crime watch associations can submit letters outlining their ongoing or completed efforts to reduce crime in their respective communities.

In 2019, the FAO awarded this grant to the Olds Rural Crime Watch Association for their outstanding effort to reduce crime for the betterment of their rural community.

Applicants can submit their applications digitally to farmers.advocate@gov.ab.ca or by mail to the FAO.
