“This Canadian Armed Forces Day we express gratitude and pay tribute to the men and women in uniform who put their lives on the line to defend our country and our values – both near and far.
“Our Armed Forces aid in peacekeeping and disaster relief around the world. Here at home, you may know of a loved one who received humanitarian assistance in Canada from a hero in uniform.
“Their families support their burdens and sacrifices. With that support, they are able to stand strong for Canadians and the values for which we are known worldwide.
“As Alberta’s Liaison to the Canadian Armed Forces, I am proud of everything our troops and their families, have contributed to the success of our nation.
“Please join me in thanking Canada’s military and their families for their service today, yesterday and every day.”
