“Alberta has endured through one of the toughest years in living memory, thanks in part to the wonderful professionals of the Alberta Public Service. Your advice, work ethic and commitment to the province have helped steer us through historic public health and economic crises.
“The APS has gone above and beyond to ensure every Albertan can access high-quality programs and services in the midst of the pandemic. Many of you have also been key to organizing government’s response to the coronavirus and reaching out to the public with critical information and assistance. APS Week is a well-deserved chance to celebrate those accomplishments.
“Later this week, I will be presenting the Premier’s Public Service Awards to APS teams and individuals who have been recommended by their peers for outstanding performance. I’m looking forward to that, and to working with all of you on Alberta’s economic recovery as the province turns the corner. Thank you for your fantastic work.”
