“Ramadan Mubarak!

“As the month of Ramadan begins, I wish all Muslims in Alberta and across the world well during this period of spiritual renewal. May your fasting and prayers bring you closer to your faith, and may your compassion and goodwill for others during this time fill you with peace and happiness.

“This month is traditionally a time of gathering among friends, family and fellow worshippers, but I urge all to think of the safety of others and adhere to public health guidelines to avoid contributing to the spread of COVID-19.

“Generosity and charity, the principles that guide actions during Ramadan, are qualities everyone can aspire to each day. This can be a time for all of us to reflect upon how we show consideration for our fellow Albertans.

“I wish all Muslims a blessed and safe Ramadan.”
