Albertans are invited to participate in an online survey, which launches Oct. 6. It addresses options for dispute resolution, funding models and public disclosure of tribunal decisions.

“We have heard very clearly that Albertans who live in, own and operate condominiums need an effective dispute resolution system. We want their feedback to ensure that when we create a timely and effective tribunal system, we get it right the first time.”

Nate Glubish, Minister of Service Alberta

The online survey will run until Nov. 10. Feedback collected will inform policy decisions for establishing the tribunal.

The Condominium Property Amendment Act was passed in December 2014. Since then, Alberta’s government has engaged condo owners, boards and corporations to develop regulations. Establishing a dispute resolution system is the next step in modernizing condo regulations in Alberta.
