The commission is holding a public hearing Feb. 24-25 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Edmonton Law Courts building at 1A Sir Winston Churchill Square.
Written submissions will be accepted until noon on Jan. 31, by email to Ruth Fast at [email protected].
All written submissions received will be posted at www.alberta.ca/judicial-compensation-commissions.aspx.

- An independent Justices of the Peace Compensation Commission was established in 2017 under Alberta’s Judicature Act to review and recommend the appropriate level of compensation for Alberta Justices of the Peace, for the period April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2021.
- Submissions should include name, mailing address, e-mail address and telephone number.
- The commission may require a person who has filed written submissions to attend and respond to questions.
- The commission may permit oral submissions during the two-day hearing. Please indicate whether you wish to make an oral submission in addition to your written submission.
